Words matter
Stigma is a set of negative beliefs and stereotypes about people that belong to a specific group. Stigma can lead to shame and discriminatory behavior. It matters what words you use when you talk about substance use.
Recovery is possible for everyone
I went from being a top student to almost dropping out. Then I went to grad school and actually did drop out before finding AA. After a year sober, I went back to graduate school. All I have now is mine by the grace of God – and it can all be lost very quickly again.
