Natural disasters can cause overwhelming levels of uncertainty, stress and worry, which can contribute to or create mental health problems like anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder. Your Life Iowa is here so that no Iowan has to face difficult situations alone.
Especially following a natural disaster - when traditional medical care may not be easily or immediately accessible for all Iowans - Your Life Iowa’s trained crisis counselors can provide rapid mental health support, coping tools and information, and referrals to additional care. All services are free, confidential, and available 24/7.
Your Life Iowa provides support on a variety of topics, including mental health, suicide prevention, gambling, and substance use.
