Alcohol Awareness Month launched in 1987. This campaign hopes reduce the stigma so often associated with alcohol use disorders. It encourages communities to reach out with information about alcohol use and recovery.
Alcohol use disorders are chronic and fatal if untreated. The good news, people can and do recover. Today as many as 20 million individuals live lives in recovery from alcohol use!
