Welcome to Turning Point Crisis Stabilization Home! Turning Point offers free 24/7 support from Crisis Response Staff for adults. We provide crisis stabilization for 3-5 days. This program is for individuals who volunteer to seek a safe and secure environment. These are individuals that don't meet criteria for hospitalization. We help individuals identify and address and ease problematic life situations. We also provide resources to maintain long-term wellness.Services Provided:Daily contact with a Mental Health ProfessionalSkill-building sessionsMedication therapy and monitored self-administrationCare coordination and referrals to community servicesFollow-up after dischargeMobile Crisis Assessment Team (MCAT)MCAT provides on-site, in-person intervention for a mental health crisis. For more information, please contact us at 1-888-546-0730. MCAT is a 24/7 program. MCAT serves both children and adults. MCAT will deploy Crisis Response Staff to homes, schools, or other public places. The response time is within 60 minutes of dispatch.Eligibility Criteria:Must be experiencing a mental health crisis.Increased depressionAnxietyInsomniaMedication management issuesSuicidal ideationPsychosisOther significant life changesMust be willing to meet with MCAT on their own.MCAT Services:Development of safety plans, referrals, and scheduling follow-up services to prevent hospitalizationAssessments to determine the need for a higher level of careDe-escalation of crisis situationsCoordination of transportation to a higher level of care as neededCounties Served: MCAT services are available in the following counties:Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Cherokee, Crawford, Humboldt, Ida, Pocahontas, Sac, Woodbury, and Plymouth.Crisis Stabilization Community-Based Services (CSCBS)We bring crisis stabilization to the individual’s location. Whether at home, work, or recreational areas. These voluntary services are short-term in nature (up to 5 days) and help de-escalate a crisis. Services focus on stabilizing helping them regain their wellness.Eligibility Criteria:Youth aged 18 and youngerAdults aged 18 and olderNot exhibiting recent or current violent/aggressive behaviorServices Provided:Daily contact with a Mental Health ProfessionalOne of more hours of:Skill-buildingMedication therapy and monitored self-administrationCare coordination and referrals to community servicesPeer supportFollow-up after discharge
