GCSU is an annual event that will be held virtually.
April 22nd is a preconference and will provide three hours of training on ethics.
The purpose of the event is to enhance the knowledge of those wanting to improve behavioral health outcomes for individuals across the life span, for their families and for their communities. The GCSU event aims are to provide education and learning opportunities for both behavioral health professionals as well as to develop behavioral health literacy within other system disciplines that connect to behavioral health. Furthermore, while the virtual experience is aimed at the individual, GCSU hopes to create connection and collaboration between system partners in an effort to enhance a coordinated response to the health of Iowans, their families and their communities.
Most importantly, we want to welcome those individuals who are or have been impacted themselves, whether that be with lived experience directly or through the experience of loving a friend, family member or important person. All people are welcomed to come and learn.
