Exploring Accountability in the Facilitative Leaders Space

Overview

Accountability isn’t just for leaders; it’s crucial for anyone working to make a difference in their community. In this session, we’ll explore the Accountability Ladder, a clear framework that helps you move from avoidance to action. You’ll learn how to use it in your coordination efforts, particularly in community engagement and substance misuse prevention. We’ll also cover how to build trust and collaboration, making it easier to achieve your goals together. If you’re looking to enhance your role in community work, this virtual session will give you the tools you need.

Objectives

  1. Comprehend the Accountability Ladder Framework: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Accountability Ladder's 9 steps, from 'Denial' to 'Taking Action,' and how each step represents a different level of personal and professional accountability.
  2. Integrate the Accountability Ladder to Community Engagement: Apply the Accountability Ladder to enhance community engagement strategies, specifically in the context of substance misuse prevention, fostering a shift from reactive to proactive approaches.
  3. Leadership Development and Cohesion: Develop skills to foster leadership and create a consensus in an environment grounded in trust, openness, and mutual benefit.
