A Public Health Approach to Addressing Methamphetamine in Iowa Webinar

Join colleagues to gather new insight on the impact methamphetamine has on Iowans. In this session, participants will be provided information and trends on methamphetamine use among Iowa youth and adults.

Data from emergency department visits, hospitalizations, substance use disorder treatment admissions and youth survey data will be shared.

This interactive session will allow participants to be a part of the discussion and help contribute to the solution.

Training objectives:

  • Identify current prevention and treatment approaches available to Iowans, and the process for connecting with available resources.
  • Understand the history of methamphetamine in Iowa and learn how current data informs prevention, treatment and recovery services throughout the state.
  • Identify the impact methamphetamine has on Iowans, and the strategic efforts taking place to protect and improve the health of Iowans.
