This session will introduce the assessment tools used to diagnose disordered gambling.
Objectives:
- Participants will understand the tools used to diagnose a gambling disorder.
- Participants will compare and contrast disordered gambling diagnosis and SUD diagnosis.
Introduction to Gambling Treatment - Part 2
Introduction to the continuum of problematic gambling behaviors and gambling disorder and comorbidity with other disorders
Objectives:
- Participants will learn about what is problem gambling and prevalence.
- Participants will be introduced to the DSM-5 criteria for Disordered Gambling and comorbidity with other Substance use and Mental Health Disorders.
Introduction to Gambling Treatment - Part 1
Introduction to Gambling Treatment Part - 1 will begin the process of helping SA and MH counselors understand the Iowa history of gambling treatment.
Objectives:
- Participants will review history of gambling and state involvement.
- Participants will learn the similarities and differences between SUD and Gambling Disorder.
