HOW TO TALK ABOUT BULLYING
Learn to recognize and identify bullying behaviors.
Kids see bullying every day; learn how to be more than a bystander. Here’s what you can do:
- Don’t give the bully an audience; don’t encourage the bully. Let the bullying know that their behavior is not ok.
- Set a good example; when you know not to bully other you are setting a positive example for your peers.
- Be a friend; help person being bullied by being nice to them. Being friendly can go a long way. Let them know they are not alone.
- Tell a trusted adult; an adult can stop bullying by intervening while it is in progress, stopping it from occurring or simply giving the person being bullied support and encouragements. A trusted adult can be anyone you feel comfortable talking to!
